Students will love "spinning a story," tracking the hot summer temperatures, or choosing a quick daily brain buster activity. Parents will appreciate that their child has something educational to work on all summer long that won't seem like work!
This packet will work especially great for teachers that are looping with their students!
It also a great set of activities for teachers to provide students during summer school!
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
Parent letter - Explains how the activity packet works)
Map skills - A blank United States map where students color in the states they traveled to or through throughout the summer
Writing - "Spin a Story" picture prompts with 3 different cute writing paper templates for them to write their stories on
Library skills - A scavenger hunt where students go to the library in search of answers to questions that will have them all of the library!
Reading - Students draw the covers of some of the books they are reading. The download also includes a cute summer bookmark from them to color and cut out to use all summer long. I've also included a reading log for students to record what they are reading during the summer.
Science - Students color in a thermometer once a week of the temperature of that day and then at the end of the summer create a bar graph to show which day was the hottest and coldest.
16 activity cards where students complete a simple skill on a day of their choosing throughout the summer and have their parents sign off for that activity. Activities include reciting multiplication facts, writing a letter to next year's teacher, borrowing a book from the library and more!
Journaling - Students record memories and adventures from their summer in a journal. In all students can journal 14 times of the summer (or more if you copy more of the journal pages to include in the packet.)

WHAT OTHER TEACHERS ARE SAYING...
Chelsea B says...
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My students loved these choices for summer break! Many were excited about the journaling and science graphing choices especially.
Erica T. says...
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic activities to keep the kids learning over summer. I created a Summer Binder for each student and added this to it. The students got to decorate the cover and color divider tabs. Many of my students brought their binder back to show me at the beginning of the school year. They were very proud of having used it.
Judy C. says...
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I used many of the ideas for my students this year and parents were very pleased. What a timesaver!
