An Intro to Reading Comprehension Strategies
This unit helps you to set a solid foundation that will set your students up for success for the entire school year. This comprehensive unit not only introduces the workshop model to your students, but it also helps you establish critical reading behaviors that will help your students grow as readers.
There are a total of 15 lesson plans, however, some lessons are designed to take more than one day. The unit will take approx. 1 month to complete and gives your students a complete run-down (with LOTS of practice) on how to be successful in reader's workshop. There are also options to add in your own lessons should you need to cover a topic or lesson that is specific to your school/district's requirements.
