HOW IT WORKS:

  1. Provide each student with a set of the "Show What You Know" cards (place each set on a ring for easy storage)

  2. When you're ready to do a quick assessment, have students pull out their card set and flip to the card that corresponds with what you would like to assess them on.

  3. Ask several questions that can be answered using the choices on the card and students will place their finger next to the correct answer on their card.

Make a set for each student. Store all card sets in a basket for easy distributing, or have students store their own set at their desks.
