The scaffolding on this product is amazing. Struggling students had lots of support and my overachievers could write as much as they wanted. The book suggestions were great and I also enjoyed the option to add some of your own choices in. It makes it fit with many different grades and subject areas.

PLEASE NOTE: This unit does not teach the foundations of opinion writing. Therefore, this unit would work best with students who have already learned the basic parts of opinion writing and have had some experience in writing an opinion piece. This mini-unit would also compliment and work alongside a complete unit on opinion writing that you may already be using with your students or plan to use.
