CCP Episode : 009 // Creating An Author Study Training Series : How to Select Books for Your Author Study
Author studies are a powerful way to help students fall in love with reading.
After you've made the careful decision on what author you and your students will focus on, selecting great books is the next step! Great author studies include GREAT books that showcase the author's best work. And - we can use these books to not only hook our readers, but to teach reading (and even writing!) skills along the way!
In this episode we dive deep into how to make the perfect curation of books that your students will read (and love!) throughout your author study. We'll talk about the 3-step process for selecting books and how to organize the book titles in a way that makes sense for your author study.
I'll even give you a backstage pass to how I selected and organized books for my own author study on Eve Bunting.
